Olive tree Youth

"Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, “Take a census of the Levites who are descended from Kohath. List them by families and households. Register all the men between the ages of 30 and 50 who are qualified to work at the tent of meeting."
-Numbers 4:1-3

We believe that biblically anyone under the age of 30 is what we consider today's "youth". We do not believe in separating the children and the youth from the congregation during Shabbat and any other services. Here at Olive Tree the adults and the youth learn together. Modern day "church" separates the youth from the adults, and in some cases it is the youth leading the youth and youth leading the children. It is a cycle of children being sent to the back to learn; we wish to break that cycle. By keeping them alongside their parents and peers they learn accountability, respect, and most importantly, the love of Torah from a mature perspective.

It is important for our youth to know that they are the next generation in bringing back a Biblical/Hebraic lifestyle. It is our responsibility as a congregation to raise them up until they are the age of 30 to be able to teach and minister to the younger generation.
